18/4 Emergenza Danish Contest Preliminary Lille Vega, Denmark
Týr sign up for this originally Italian, now European contest, held at Lille Vega, where the audience are to vote three of eight bands on to the finals. Týr win the preliminary, thanks to their faithful fans. www.emergenza.dk
 

20/4 Free Føroyar Læraraskúlahøllin, Faroe Islands
Týr are asked to play at this political concert in Tórshavn, the capitol of the Faroes. The consert is supported by the Faroese Republican Party. The goal is to make young people form an opinion on Faroese independence (from Denmark).
 

21/4 Prix Føroyar Contest Final Norðurlandahúsið, Faroe Islands
Týr would like to congratulate Clickhaze, the winners of the Prix Føroyar Contest, decided by jury only. However, Týr do not go emptyhanded. They are elected by an agent to play at the Jelling Music Festival. www.prix.fo

27/7 Ólavsøka Festival Kommunuskúlagarðurin, Faroe Islands
Týr play their largest gig so far for some 3.300 people gathered to see the eight bands performing at the festival.
 

14/9-15/9 Free Føroyar V. B. Húsið / Læraraskúlahøllin, Faroe Islands
Týr play on the 55th anniversary for the Faroese vote for independence from Denmark. The vote was held on the 14.09.1946, and the result was yes to independence, but was overthrown by the Danish government.
 

28/12 Koncert T.B Húsið, Faroe Islands
Týr play in singer Pól Arni's hometown between cristmas and newyear, and expect a lively audience.
